The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is the 6th studio album by Genesis. It is also the last album to feature Peter Gabriel on lead vocals. It was released on November 18, 1974. It is a double concept album that tells the story of Rael, a half Puerto Rican teen who has to rescue his brother, John, from the underground of New York. Along the way he meets fantastical creatures such as the Supernatural Anaesthetist, the Lamia, and the Slippermen. It is said that many of these images came from Peter Gabriel's dreams.
